The front section serves as concentration zone, and the rear section is dewatering zone. Filter gaps are formed between fixed and moving rings, and the screw pitch gradually narrows from the concentration zone to the dewatering zone. The sludge inflow rate is controlled by adjusting the liquid level pipe inside the metering tank, and excess sludge flows back to the sludge tank through return pipeline.</p><p>Sludge and flocculant are fully mixed in flocculation mixing tank by agitator to form flocs, with the optimal floc diameter around 5mm.</p><p>Flocs go through gravity thickening in the concentration zone, and a large volume of filtrate drains out from filter gaps.</p><p>Thickened sludge is pushed forward along the rotating spiral shaft and fully dewatered under internal pressure generated by back pressure plate.</p><p>Dewatered sludge cake discharges from the gap between back pressure plate and stacked screw body.
